If that was the cure for migraines, my pantry would be fully stocked with all different flavors.

Sadly, no, I meant Imitrex Sumatriptan. The pill form doesn't work on me so I have to give myself a shot in the leg.

Technically, vodka is a medicine that can bring about the cure to migraines.

That cure being unconsciousness.

But I always have excedrin in my bag, just in case.

Woot! LifeTime network is broadcasting episodes of The Closer. I love that show!

Went to That Weird Swedish Place to get a desk lamp. Decidedly more balanced light now, and it'll be much easier to edit and transcribe manuscript pages. After I moved the desk into this room, to a spot near the window, it was great in the daytime and lousy at night.

Also *oof* ate a humongous veggie burrito. I'm so stuffed that I probably won't have to eat till tomorrow afternoon.

Getting ready for tomorrow. Tomorrow, Dad and I go up for our annual two-week vacation to Door County. And this time around, apparently, the cottage owner has installed improved WiFi; hopefully, no longer will I have to worry about the prospect of the it randomly deciding it doesn't want to connect anymore. And then deciding it does.

That is one of my favorite places. Did you get a chance to see some of their hanging lights that actually open and close? OMG they are like awesome. I want one so badly.

My daughter loves veggie burgers. Expensive, but I don't see her much so I get them for her.

It's pushing 2am and I need to be sleeping right about now.

They open and close?  I'm going to have to take a closer look next time I'm going through the lighting section on my way from here to there.

I took this disabled guy bowling today and he wanted to tell this other disabled girl who he has a crush on that he wasn't going to be there next week.
So we went looking for her after the game and she was kissing someone in the corner.
He watched for a few seconds and then had to look away.
I haven't loved someone for years but my heart broke right along side his, poor bastard.
Life is hard enough for him and to have that little glimmer of hope snatched away, well, it was almost too much for me, anyway.

Ooo, shiny! Can't think of where in my house those lights would look appropriate, though. Maybe once I finish renovating...

Hung around the house for most of the day. Baked cookies, pulled weeds, got the A/C system its annual maintenance.

Started to clean up the massive pile of manuscripts on my desk, retyping/rewriting/shredding as appropriate.

Went out for coffee, not to my usual Saturday night haunt but to the coffee shop where we hold the writer's group. From there I went to pick up a few electronics we needed, a couple of cordless phones (no phone jack in the bedroom, and my desk has also moved) and a new carbon monoxide detector because the old one had less than a year to go. Everything is hooked up and configured.

Dad and I left home around 10:30. Between visiting Grandma and Grandpa in Kaukauna, and having to be diverted for road construction, we managed to get to the cottage in Ephraim around 5:15. Eventually, we managed to rest, eat dinner at Al Johnson's, and get some more perishable necessities we couldn't take up from Skokie. And still, I managed to listen to the White Album in full for the first time in fuck knows how long.
