What's everyone up to right now?

Yay! They replaced my air conditioner. The old one was dead. And it was under contract, so I didn't have to wait for it to be approved. Huzzah!

I may be a wimp, but I just can't focus when it gets over 80°. My mind turns to sludge, I lose all motivation, I can't sleep, and I just sit around and perseverate.

Went to the gun range today, but my time was cut short by the gun getting to the point where it wouldn't fire. I'll have to take the trigger assembly apart and see what is going on. I did manage to set the sights on my new scope, though. After that, my son and I went and picked up a nice salmon filet that he proceeded to smoke. Tasty dinner that was, with a bunch of smoked vegetables and fresh watermelon!

Took it apart and cleaned it to within an inch of its life. Looks like it was just a lot of crud in the bolt and firing pin. Gotta go buy some Snap Caps and check it out instead of dropping a bunch of monyips at the range, only to find out it still doesn't work.

I'm not a member of the NRA. I really really don't like their rhetoric. I have the CFI cert, that's it. I do clean my rifle after shooting, but I missed some crud around the firing pin last time, I think. Just picked up some dummy loads to verify that I'm getting clean hits on the casings now.

The sarcasm didn't flow through, for some reason.   Ah, the sweet smell of expended gunpowder! Thing's working fine, now. That paper better watch it, now!

Disconnected a couple of outlets in my study so that I can renovate the wall they were in.

Also made some butter chicken and couscous, picked up the last few ingredients for hot and sour soup, baked some apple pastries that were on sale at the store, and just now finished a glass of my Mother's Day cognac.
