I really wish I lived in an area that had stuck up bitches. As it is, we live in a moderate income area. Salon service prices are NOT set to "rich and snooty" mode, more like "I have four kids and am broke but want my hair done anyway" mode.


I also get to set my own prices, in a way. It's a private salon. I can work my own hours. Commission is 50%. She provides all of the product (backbar items and color etc) I bring my own tools, which I already have so this works for me. 

I'm happy. I finally have another job after three months.

Procrastinating the two hours I'm at work before I leave. I have a ton to do, I just have no motivation to do it in since I'm just going to leave in a bit anyway...

I also need to come back to work after my appointments but I'm seriously considering skiving off.

The deciding factor will be how long it takes me to find parking when I come back. If more than 15 minutes/10 blocks than I'm just going home.

Spent the afternoon out at Assiniboine Park with my daughter and her boyfriend. Looked at the art galleries at the Pavilion, then wandered around the duck pond (more like a Canada goose pond at this time of year, but there were some ducks lurking off to one side), then went through the English Garden and the Leo Mol sculpture gallery, then wandered around in the Conservatory. Mass quantities of photos were taken by all of us, mostly of interesting plants. (I am -so- stealing some of their ideas for next year's garden.)

Probably do photo edits later tonight after band practice and upload to my Imgur gallery. Also have some photos of dinosaur skeletons from my trip to the Field Museum in Chicago that need to be edited and uploaded, so will get that done as well.
