I understand that these questions are worded wrong, that's something I'm gonna have to fix. But I want the book itself to be unbiased, so I'm asking the questions people have asked me as a nonbeliever. God is vague, I mean any form of the word. I'll probably say heaven, him, believers, whatever. I don't necessarily mean only them. I just never reworded these questions. If it bothers you, get out of the Christianity forum. I posted in here because it is more predominant. And I have many questions about the bible and the religion specifically. If my questions seem like they aren't catering to you, simply tell me how I should've worded it instead of jumping on me.

Whiner, aisle 4!

Seriously, people tried to help you and you whine?! come on, that's not how you get your questions answered.

Keep posing questions. If people have some issues with the wording try to make it less ambiguous.
Don't assume people are being mean to you, when all they want is an honest question which may not be misleading... and, trust me, many "innocent" questions have been misleading and just made people type threads upon threads.... books have even been written on the misrepresentation of some particular position.

And, if you want your book to be unbiased, it must also be clear in the terms that it uses, so it's good a good idea to start taking care of that detail early on, or you may get entangled in the nomenclature and find it hard to make sense of it.

Don't whine, please.
I've seen whiners come and go in this forum... and it always starts like that. Take control of yourself... and proceed.

My dear Wendy. I like you. I want to help. So, here goes nothing.

First of all, yes, this is a Christian forum... inside the great Atheist Forums, hence the name up on top. It's a forum to discuss Christianity where atheists will certainly participate. It's our house, if you will. Nobody is getting out. Second, if they are bringing up your wording it's because you asked for help and said specifically that you wished to be unbiased. They are offering helpful feedback. Expect that when you are a writer. I write, too. I expect the same thing.

If you can't take a claw, you don't belong here. This place is full of them. I hope you decide to stay, though. You could learn a lot. Many people don't make it. They scare off. Stick it through and you will learn a lot and later you will be helping others. Smile

These people that are here answering your questions are actually some of the best people to be receiving help from. They know their shit. You are getting advice from the gods Wink. Also, they are actually very nice people. Take Stimbo, for example. He's a sweetie. He's also a very good source of wisdom. Take it.

See this as the following. A girl who wants to learn how to please her Mistress. She makes a mistake and gets hit with the whip. Eventually, she learns to like it. Wink

RE: Questions
Writer has asked me several questions via PM.

I pushed a little and she seems pretty legit. I think if anyone wants to green light her private questions they can feel reasonably confident.

Cheers.

Thanks, Cinjin.

I thought so. This is why I didn't use the "fuck you" button.

Ok, writer. I'll enter your private room. You should know, though, if you bite I'll like it. Angel

Alive.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

RE: Questions
I don't mean anything by the things I say, just my personality. So, sorry to everyone. Maybe before I ask y'all questions I should tell y'all more about me.

I don't believe in anything. I like to have facts to back up whatever I believe. That's why I got out of the church. When I'd ask for proof that the bible was the word of god, many people would simply quote the bible back to me. It's circular reasoning. I've had a crazy hard life, and I do feel like there is an energy in the universe that gets you through things. I don't credit Jesus for it or anything. But there's something in music, in movies, in nature, etc.

I think religion has held civilization back. Or progress, however you want to word it. I've read the bible. I've read the Quran. I've studied different religions. I've went to many different churches. Talked to many different people about their beliefs. I've even taken a worldview class, a few times. It was awful by the way, the teachers are always Christian and they like to pretend to be open minded but most of the time they aren't. And I'm usually the only one in there who doesn't believe.

I have often been asked these questions I ask y'all, and that's why I am asking.

We make choices and we can make some that to others would be pretty damned confusing or illogical, but we can never escape that are brains are nothing more than self aware computers."
