How do you deal with superior religious family?

It takes a lot of nerve to say "no more imposing religion on me." But my experiences is that it worked out for the better when I did.

If you choose to take a stand, be firm but remain calm and above all be reasonable and civil.

I find it safe and logical to, "remain in the closet", I'm almost of the age to be kicked out lol, although im sure that wouldn't happen. However, I do have a lot of privileges that may be taken back for a very immoral reason.

As will I littlegrimlin.

I havent came out of the closet with my family yet. And I think it is a wise part for me to never tell my family that I am an atheist.

Because the "safe thing to do" totally worked for the Indian Independence Movement and the American Civil Rights Movement.

Acceptance and fair treatment don't naturally happen, they need to be fought for.

It is sad to hear how some parents behave. If my children wanted to be any religion I wouldn't stand in their way. I'd call them nuts, but I wouldn't stand in their way.

I take it you wouldn't try your hardest to keep your children out of college, Binny? Smile

I envy your children... I hope they understand just how lucky they are Tongue

Danngg - Sae just slaped kudos at everyone.

What will the future withhold for atheism?

Will it be like... the opposite of now? Where everyone nearly is atheist, and like 6% religious? lol
