Interesting question. Yes, I still consider myself a Christian at those times. I consider myself a loving husband even at 4 am when I've been kept awake by the snoring, AND THEN SHE NICKS THE DUVET notwithstanding that my feelings at that point are somewhat less than loving.

I guess I'm either a failing atheist or a failing failing Christian depending on ones perspective.

Doesn't look like our other theists here like your flagrant disregard for categorical consistency. Guess you'll just have to start minding your P's and Q's or accept responsibility for confusing them. Must be a hell of a burden for you. Alternatively you could just go on being whatever it is you are intuitively and let those who worry about it be damned. Tough call.
