Atheists at Christmas

RE: Atheists at Christmas
"Boxing Day" belongs to my mum. It is the one day at this time of year that she can have the entire family under one roof. For her it is about family and seeing each other (being in touch physically) once a year. She loves it, and loves stepping back and watching how the "little ones" now with younglings of their own interact

If secular humanists spent half their billboard-warring budgets on helping the poor, they would begin to earn my respect.

You could also say that of religion. You just don't, because you're a troll who's only here to start sick fires.

I could, but hasn't everybody made that case already?

The case against shitty secular humanism isn't made often enough here.

... Mostly because I think there's an understanding here that the shitty variant of anything is, by definition, sub par? Thinking

If secular humanism is so shit then why won't you suggest an alternative oh wise one? It better be a good alternative though not some pile of dog shit.

The lights, the tree, the carols, gifts, family time, hot coco, winter time, etc(: Now those things have nothing to do with Christianity! What I hate is the prayer, midnight service, etc. for obvious reasons. My family prays A LOT during Christmas... I just don't know how to deal with it.

What's your opinion on the whole thing?

I like Christmas music, someone I know said if you like Christmas music then you are a Christian, I replied "what are you nuts?"

I also love presents, can anyone including a Christian imagine how truly boring Christmas would be without presents? Come on fess up.
