Well when the rules impose a 30 day limit on replying to threads, that would qualify as a statute of limitations.
Don't whine to me, I didn't make the rules.

That's pretty funny that we even could eradicate Jesus from anything. Isn't he supposed to be magic or something? The Incredible Hulk wouldn't put up with this shit.

If it bothers you so much, report it. If I were you, I wouldn't want to answer the question either.

We do protect historic, and prehistoric religious symbols that were erected before the the land became public, but not because of their religious value. They are preserved for their historic value. I'll give you some examples. Across the Southwest, ancient pueblo Indian Pueblos sit on public land. They inclue kivas, which are really churches/community centers. They include religious icronography. And yes those religions are still practiced. Religious petroglyphs are also preserved on federal land. Similarly, so is a church in Capital Reef National Park. It's part of a group of houses and other pioneer buildings. I doubt it's the ony church preserved this way. But it is preserved for it's historic content and not as a symbol of Christianity. I've been in at least 50, probably more, government opperated museums that display iconography of various religions western and eastern, Indian, prehistoric, and African. None of them promotes these religions, and I have no objetion to the displays.
The cross in question is rather different. It was erected to promote a religion on land that was public when it was erected. It is not a historic display but an actively religious one. The option to move it is allowed. Blowing it up without that option, is not on the table. It's differentin all respects from the symbols being blown up in the middle east.

The article that began this thread makes it clear that it was primarily a group of Jewish veterans who objected to the cross.

Yet you're doing it because you actually want to help anyone but to score brownie points with your sky genie.
FSM weaps.
At least we help whatever you perceive the reason why, you shouldn't weep, at least the believers of this world do something about those who are in need. Of course you could be weeping for yourself because you stand around doing nothing.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Bullshit, G-C. It's marketing for your bullshit religion. "Oh, look how holy my fucking god has made me....here I am giving soup to the poor....while telling them that they'll burn in fucking hell if they don't swallow our bullshit along with it."

Having listened through the we are a Christian nation because it says, in god we trust on the dollar argument, yes the gigantic cross on government property matters.
