With all the pollution and famine and war going on in the world I find it extremely sick for theocrats to continue to assault the rights of women knowing after the baby is born they don't give one fuck. Just admit what you really want, more gang members for you sky hero club.

The problem with today's abortion arguments are two fold. For the pro-life perspective often the far right do not have enough care or consideration for the woman. There isn't enough active, hands on work to remedy the poverty that often leads to abortion. However, from the pro-choice perspective often the far left would rather protect salmon eggs or endangered species than human life. The far right neglects women, the far left neglects the fetus. Who is the more vulnerable and voiceless in this situation? Who is the victim? Should a fetus be aborted because they are autistic or a female? Or after their heart has started beating. In my opinion, no. It's a question of values. Mine have been influenced by this teaching, it's often called Catholicism best kept secret, it as social teaching.

The premise of the pro-choice argument is that a fetus isn't technically alive yet, and even if it was, affording it the same rights as any other person still wouldn't give it the right to use someone else's body to sustain their life without that person's consent. To say that we care more about endangered species than we do fetuses ignores not only the basis of the argument, but also the point of conservation efforts and why your comparison doesn't stand up. After all, losing an entire species forever is rather a more powerful loss than s single bundle of cells, no?

Sorry dude, but you've missed the point on every conceivable level, here.

I think it should be a woman's choice, depending how long she has been pregnant. I also think it is important how often she has aborted a child, I don't think abortion should be abused. However, if you been raped or are too young, then abortion should always be allowed.

I had another thought. Should'nt the man have something to say? I mean if the man wants the baby can't he have something say about it? Assuming that he isn't a rapist.

Nope. If a man wants a baby he should have one with someone who is willing to be pregnant and give birth.

91% of abortions take place during the first trimester and 9% in the second. There are only about 100 late-stage abortions performed in the U.S. each year, or about a hundredth of a percent. Yet, for some reason, anti-choice advocates operate under the assumption that these numbers are reversed or something.

If there is a God, he aborted two of my children in the last 18 months (one of them in the third trimester, to boot) and I wanted both, so I'm obviously left wondering why he thinks it's such a problem. Does he not like doctors muscling in on his racket or something?

They make up their own facts.

Yet another right wing position that is, at its most fundamental level, not based on anything factual.

Why, it's enough to make one wonder if those reasons are the actual ones that made them take up said position! Thinking

Framing the situation by calling Pro-Choice people "Pro-Abortion" or "Pro-Murder" is a pretty disingenuous tactic to undermine your opposition before they even have a chance to make their case. Why even bother wasting the effort with people like you?

It's tantamount to me calling Pro-Life proponents, "Anti-Choice fascists".
