Erm...no actually. Evidence is any observation that supports a specific idea / theory / hypothesis. One piece of evidence in favour of one idea is still a piece of evidence, no matter how you look at it. The relationship is: the more evidence, the more conclusive a theory can be.

I agree with you at least in the sense that it isn't a very useful biological function, but it is a naturally occurring one, a genetic trait that developed (Accidentally or not) amongst an ancient species that is the ancestor of wide range of different species of animals that all display homosexual traits. It's not human specific, may be very ancient from pre male-female sexual reproduction, or a useless mutation that prevailed amongst a successful branch on the evolutionary tree.

I remember the discussions could get pretty wild, especially when " Jesus Freakman12" came into them.
I always had a good time on that site.

I know the research is ongoing to find whether the behavior can be associated to the influence of surrounding enviornments or if there's a biological connection. So far the findings are inconclusive. I agree that it's been observed in nature among various species. I wonder if the same behavior can't simply be the result that some are denied the opportunity to mating due to rank in the pack. Mating rights within the pack do seem reserved for the alpha status.
