Maybe not at this point in time; in earlier times not so nice though was it?
I don't remember the CoE being so benign back in Henry VIII's time though. Torture, burning at the stake and so on.
Maybe in 600 years, Scientology will get all docile and benign too. Maybe! I'm certainly not saying Scientology now is worse than Christianity then. But Scientology is fucked up, now.

Wasn't this part of a longer documentary? I could swear I've seen this before, but I remember more interviews with former Scientologists and more creepy filming by Sci's camera guys...
Also, with all the following around that spiffy-looking Sci dude did to the BBC guy, couldn't the BBC guy get a restraining order on him? And, indeed, on the camera guy(s), too, and since they were being tailed in cars and they presumably got video of of the drivers and the license plates, couldn't restraining orders be taken out against them? Or can that crap and just sue Scientology for harassment? It's obvious that the Sci folk are behind the harassment and there must be enough circumstantial evidence to make a decent case. Could it really be a coincidence that all the strange people lurking around the BBC are ALL linked to Scientology? Mmm, probably not...
But that means legal fees and the Sci's deep pockets would probably win that case...
In any case, I'm glad Lisa Remini got away.

There have been a few films on a similar theme.

In any case, I'm glad Lisa Remini got away. I don't think, for the purposes of a report about Scientology, it would make sense to put out restraining orders on members of Scientology. If they still followed him after the documentary, then sure.

There's 2 films on YT both by bbc. One is 1/2 hr the other is a full hr. I think he let them follow him for more of a story. He didn't seem scared at all.
here's the longer one, also it's a couple yrs newer i think

Jacob,
No-one is going to disagree with you that they are fucking nuts. The problem you have is that they are not alone and calling them worse than others is a stretch. As far as I know:
They are not flying planes into buildings.
They are not actively protecting paedophiles in their ranks.
They are not brain-washing teenagers into strapping bombs to themselves and wandering into bar, onto trains and so on to blow themselves up.
They don't stone people for having relationships with the people of another faith.
They don't stone people for working on their sabbath.
They don't blame homosexuals for inclement weather.
And a dozen other things the Famous Grouse is preventing me from recalling at this moment.
Fucking nuts? - yes.
Alone? - no.
Kuusi palaa, ja on viimeinen kerta kun annan vaimoni laittaa jouluvalot!

Jehova's Witnesses have lots of sex abuse besides the RCC. The media doesn't seem to give JW's as much attention as it does the RCC or scientology, even though JW's are a much more prominent religion than scientolology. I have yet to hear about child sex abuse scandles in scientology, but maybe that will come with time...who knows.

I must have watched the hour-long one, the still looks familiar. I'm not going to actually watch it again, I've wasted enough time on the Sci's already but thanks for tracking the video down.
