Our mess, what mess would that be, think maybe you need to reason thing out before you use those types of assumptions. I to hate to see what's happening to this world all of man kind needs to be concerned. Most Christians I know are concerned. Science shows there is a problem with the earth warming, it's not really understood as of this time and no one knows if it's a bad thing or not, we just ain't that smart. The two most devastating things to our world are greed and population.

We were told to subdue this world, to work the ground and to rule over it and all in it.
So all the other animals and plants were created merely as resources for the one and only creature -us- God is concerned with? So mass extinctions is not a problem. Depletion of resources is not a problem. Sustainability of the interactive webs of life is of no concern because God will provide once we burn through the yolk sack provided by every other form of life? This doesn't make you stupid so much as damnable. It is certainly one of the reasons fundamentalist Christians can't be treated as full adults.
Oh and look how effortlessly I judge you as morally deficient without reference to any objective standard. All of that is obviously bullshit given how little good it has done you.

Mainly because of general apathy and the apathy that their supposed prophecy brings. Even deeper, their religion basically revolves around the fact that all natural activities other than a virtuous human lifestyle are beneath their concern. And then you have the capitalism motive.

You've read way to much nonsense into what Drich said, you might want to consider that what he said meant we are to be caring custodians of this plant. Besides it's the big, very big corporations and governments that have created this problem, why do you blame Christians for the shape it's in. Where is you proof that Christians are solely responsible for the mess. The way I see it is the uncaring money hungry selfish people that are of the greatest responsibility, note what I just described is not a Christian.

It sure is a weird religion when all of the Christians aren't Christian.

Naturally. The only 'true' Christian is the one you spoke to last.
