Honestly, why? There is absolutely no logic behind hell. If you were right and there is just a god, your God, who have been so often described as love, would let anyone burn for eternity for a mistake? Or was your homeboy Jesus lying when he said to turn the other cheek?

What if another religion is correct? Also no one knows God's reasoning, we're only simple humans.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
