Unforgivable Sin

Based upon a careful reading of the New Testament and of the Koran the unforgivable sin in both is for a believer to commit apostasy. They both regard it as an express ticket to hell worthy of immediate physical and spiritual death. Once a person commits it there's no forgiveness.

According to the bible the only way to accept forgiveness for sins is by faith in christ so that's why it is unforgivable.

Someone should tell him not to sweat the small stuff.

If God exists, that's not at all, my idea of him/it.
God is who He is regardless of who you might think He is, that is if you were to believe.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Well, just remember that theists believe that a 'loving' god sends people to a torture chamber. If there was such a loving god, there would be no hell.

If "love" is good. And for good to exist there needs to be "bad"... How can there exist a good God without bad also existing?

God couldn't create intelligent beings and deny them the ability to do bad. That would deny them the ability to experience good or bad.

If said human chooses bad, as he is free to do, does he not... separate himself from God/ condemn himself/ limit his potential for that moment?

RE: Unforgivable Sin
Supposedly there's no bad in heaven, so that excuse doesn't really work. Good and bad are relative terms. Yahweh as depicted in the bible is claimed to be all good, but you can't read the book without disagreeing with some of the stuff. The only thing people can do if they insist that he's all good is to claim that he's mysterious, or just say that since he's the mightiest of all, it makes him right.

If he exists, he doesn't do a good job of spreading good in the world. Stuff like loving your enemies and caring for the poor and such didn't start until christianity, which didn't get started until about 2000 years ago, and only a minority of the population even believes in it. Yahweh's been doing a half assed job at best when it comes to his creation.

I'm pretty sure the old testament is more about wiping out your enemies than loving and understanding them.
