It is indeed a challenge. Perhaps the biggest challenge I have ever had.

1. Theism is true because I want it to be true.
2. Theism is true because I emotionally want it to be true.

Okay, now I'm going to try to be specific for this last one.

Basically, in order to accomplish what I mean to do, I have to answer the question, "What is the dumbest fucking thing anyone has ever said to me about religion?"

Nope, too many dumb things that are incredibly dumb, I cannot pick one.

What's the difference between the 2?
Why would somebody want something to be true other than for personal gain or emotional reason? Personal gain is also emotional.

I know Christ is real because before I accepted him into my heart I was an unrepentant drug user/thief/drunk/baby hater/murderer/rapist/arsonist/all-around asshole, etc.

Every time I hear someone make this claim I just want to bitch slap the hell out of him/her.
