I read these forums almost every day but I don't post often; I leave that for the smarter people. But I am so fed up with this ridiculous preacher I could scream. (Hear that? I just did!)

What does he think he's doing for Christ? Rev's not getting any customers here with his empty assertions and babble verses. All he's accomplishing is further convincing us that christians are the most gullible and stupid people on Earth.

In fact, sometimes I wonder if these inept apologists are not really christians at all. Could Revelation777 be a nonbeliever just purposely trying to make christians look silly (sillier)? How would we know?

Unfortunately in most of human history claimants of all sorts of fictional sky parent claims do believe in the absurdities they sell. Humans more often than not prefer a comforting lie over harsh reality.

@Thackerie: Firstly, great to see a post from you. If it's any consolation, your posts are still probably ten times more rational than our resident theists (except JacobSmooth because he gets it). Secondly, it is a distinct possibility that this guy is exactly what you propose: a Poe. The unfortunate truth is that we will probably never know that for certain, so the best anyone can do with this guy Rev is to continue to ask him to back up his claims.
