Oh, go fuck yourself, you self-righteous, delusional ignoramus.
I feel safer with rational people than with you fucking insane sheep.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Sometimes it takes a person to get to the end of themselves or even on their deathbed to soften their heart enough to receive Christ.
That is true. Desperation and/or fear typically drive many to religion.

He doesn't realize he's said two things that are in direct contradiction. Given the usual amount of effort Rev puts into his posts, I'm not really surprised.

Me: I have a magic coin in my pocket, from Atlantis, that grants wishes.
You: Really? That's so cool! Can you substantiate that?
Me: Waaaaah! Why are you demanding proof? Can't you just take it on faith? Stop persecuting me!
See, in order to back up my claims, I would first have to show that I actually have a coin; that it is from Atlantis; and that it grants wishes. I have the burden of proving all this, and it ought to be trivial to do so.
The key difference between science and faith is that, as you acknowledge, science has the facts to back it up and can be verified independently by anyone regardless of belief. What you have, which you admit, is faith based on nothing. What was that bit about a house built on sand..?

Regardless, even if there are things science can't prove - an asinine claim in itself requiring the e-word to which you seem to be allergic - wouldn't it take faith to believe them? Faith, I might add, with infinitely more justification than that blind version you've earmarked for your pet god. I thought you were all about this faith stuff?

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

That's how you get through life isn't it, asshole? Envisioning the day when your magical, mystical, sky-daddy will smack down everyone who ever thought you were a dickhead.
Well..... he's as phony as a $3 bill so I'm not worrying about it and you can whack off to visions of souls being tormented in hell for eternity all you like. Use vaseline.

No surprise there. Theists only seem capable of following their own ill reason.

Regarding the magic coin analogy and burden of proof. An athiest believes that there is no God. Ok, the burden of proof is now on you. Prove to me there is no God.

For the million and oneth time, that is not how the Burden of Proof operates.
If there is already clearly no evidence that something exists, it is illogical to make the claim that one must prove it does not exist.
Atheist: Santa Clause is not real.
Theist: Prove Santa Clause is not real.
See how really stupid that is?
The Burden of Proof is on the theist who claims that something exists when there is no clear evidence of its existence.
Theist: Santa Clause is real.
Atheist: Prove that Santa Clause is real.

A Christian believes that there is no Zeus. Ok, the burden of proof is now on you. Prove to me there is no Zeus.
See the fallacy in that line of thinking?
