What are you arguing about? Where did I say these people weren't religious?

Mainly through celebrities endorsing them I would suppose. I think we're a few decades behind in the process, is all. We seem to be at the point where most people identify as being religious, but a lot of them are apathetic in practice. The number who actually let go of religion is increasing slowly but steadily (14% or 16% was the last I recall reading). Religion still has a political power base and some money, so it will hang on for a while, but disinterest is a very powerful force over the long term.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I thought you were suggesting they might only be claiming to be religious so they could work there.

Many people who have turned away from 'Old Age' religion are turning to New Age beliefs instead, though.

Ah, no, I have no doubt the people working there are genuinely religious. I can however see why you interpreted it that way so perhaps the fault was my own for wording it poorly. I did say though that there would be exceptions. I could just as easily find a bunch of scientists from a fairly secular part of the world and say "look at these guys they're scientists and they're not religious". My overall point is that secular communities, as a trend, have pretty good education and with that better education it logically follows that more people question the validity of religion.

atheist religion will replace it someday. Unless you can prove "there is nothing" that is. Then maybe it will be more real.

It will probably look something like this. a religion that believes the multiverse theory is right, one that believes we are just a single universe, a flexiverse cult, and many other little denominations lol. Then they will war with each other over who is right lol.

No, you're thinking of the French.

"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)
