What if the Romans hadn't killed Jesus?

RE: What if the Romans hadn't killed Jesus?
There are no first century texts which so much as mention "jesus" or even xtianity.

There are no artifacts from the first century indicating xtianity existing.

We DO begin to have these things in the second century. Try to figure it out.

As Stim has said, the only source you have for that utter nonsense is your own bullshit story.

Now I am not so sure about that, I may be mistaken but I believe there was a historian of that era who documented something along the lines of "there is a cult going around calling themselves 'christians'"

That was all he wrote on the matter again I would have to research again the mans name.

Suetonius wrote something vaguely along those lines but he was 2d century...and he probably wrote "Chrestians" (chrestianos) anyway.

Source?

The Book of Acts, which you will immediately dismiss, although that doesn't make it any less valid, states that about 3,000 were added to their number on Pentecost and that the church continued to grow in large numbers. Also the secular website below shows most opinions of the dates of composition of the gospels at no later than 100 AD, but possibly as early as soon after Jesus' death. Although I will add, that some think it was as late as the end of the second century. In other words, we don't really know for sure when they were written, which points out that you (and Minimalist) have no grounds for stating with surety that the gospels or any other books of the bible were written later that the first century. http://www.stellarhousepublishing.com/gospel-dates.html

That's not your call to make. Launching a pre-emptive martyr defense does nothing to bolster your case; if your evidence is sound, the conclusions will follow. Your condescending attitude is noted.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I wasn't being condescending. I was anticipating your objection.

The Jewish historian Josephus mentioned the christians in "Antiquities of the Jews" c 94. As far as your earlier comment as to "bullshit" - I don't trust you as an authority, so I'll just throw that one in the "circular file".

And failed. Getting your retaliation in first just makes you lose your balance.

And Josephus? Seriously?

Seriously, thanks for the tip and I do respect your prowess in debate. I'm still a bit "green" at this forum stuff, but maybe someday I'll grow up to be just like you (a christian version, of course).

I trust you will achieve your aim, though I hope you aim a little higher in your ambition.
