If anything I'd say this story should be used as an example for pro gun advocacy. Right or wrong, I see nothing here that could possibly be deemed helpful to the argument of an anti-gun proponent. It only says that 16-year-old Julius Johnson had a criminal record. Julius is the one who kicked the man. It doesn't say who pushed him off the bike.
The other kids could have been pressured into this. I think the old man should have used less force.

In the U.S. we killed many a healthy happy Briton for the freedom to be unmolested by King George's goons who bothered us very little in contrast to what our own thug section of our society does to us daily.

We don't feel guilt over it at all, we celebrate it every July 4th.

Should Americans fight for the freedom to ride bikes in parks unmolested?

With deadly force?

If you are old enough to attack and mug an old man then you are old enough to take the consequences.

You really need to give it up on this argument. Sometimes it's better to not say anything than to show how ignorant you are.
