According to the bible women are forbidden from preaching.

Sure women should preach if they want. Why should men have a corner on religious idiocy?

In one of Paul's authentic letters (1 Corinthians) he speaks of women "prophesying" (preaching) in church, and the only condition he puts on it is that they wear a head covering.

In one of the letters forged in his name (1 Timothy) the author says that women should just shut up in church. Ask their husbands when they go home.

You're quite right - I was forgetting the doublethink nature of the beast. Two (at least) totally contradictory 'teachings' on just about everything and the faithful are forced to hold both of them as true simultaneously.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

You'd think they'd be too busy tending to the house and kids, and making sure her man is content when he gets home to go out and preach or hold a job. Some priorities are skewed.

Exactly what I would say Chad. I hate it when I get home and dinner's not ready and I find she's been out preaching.

I know seriously! A woman's place is in the home. Preferably barefoot and pregnant, with a few kids in tow, doing laundry while cooking dinner, and then the obvious steak and blow job for her husband when he comes in after a long day. Any woman who doesn't know this is her place....understands that some people are ignorant and silly.
