Is that what this is REALLY about?? Somehow, we're all racists because we want to live in a place where we're surrounded by people that share our customs, beliefs and even speak the same language?

How do you get that from what I said... at all? I don't even know what to say right now...

Cin, it's here. You accused me of accusing you of being racist, when I did no such thing. I was blatantly referring to the OP. I really want to get this resolved, maybe due to my OCD, but also because I'm really bothered that you would think I would say that. We're all strangers IRL, but I really hope that you respect me as much as I do you, and I would never assume racist tendencies for anyone I respect, and therefore it's hurtful to be accused of calling someone of that ilk racist.

Napo also misunderstood, so I'm hoping you can see where you misunderstood and resultingly mischaracterized my intentions. I realize it had a lot to do with what was going on in the rest of the thread...

BSM, if you didn't want to be around Hispanic people or any other ethnic group, possibly the last place you should have ever moved is effing LA! Seriously? Your rant just seems like a racist bitchfest from where I'm sitting.

As you can see, you did imply that BSM's remarks made you think he was a racist. My remarks were similar to his. Ergo, I was asking a question in a round-a-bout way whether or not you feel that all of us are indeed racists. I don't see how my question can be construed as an attack. I was trying to define the parameters of our "group argument" in order to form a proper defense. The question for myself at that time was, "Am I about to defend a false claim of racism or a false claim of anti-immigration?" As it turned out, you were not referring to me directly as a racist, but rather perhaps hinting at the possibility?

Regardless, the question has been answered and although I regret that a bystander took some shrapnel, I can't offer an apology for an attack that didn't happen.
You voiced an opinion - it was heard and then remarked upon. I have no ill-will towards you and I can see no reason for you to have any towards me.

These little disputes happen once in awhile. I have had them with nearly everyone I like on these boards. Hell, both Napo and I have gone at it ... it's just what we do sometimes.
I can't speak for Syn, but as for me, I will let this all go just as I have done before.
I think of these people just like my friends in real life: I can have angry disputes with them and then let it be in the past. People disagree.

Because in our acid-bath pot 'culture' we shave off the details of the many cultures people immigrate from. That way we can feel all the same without constantly inconveniencing we natives. In Europe mulit-lingualism is de rigueur. In Murica we will fight for our right to keep it simple.

Fortunately for us, English seems to language the whole globe is moving toward in business and foreign affairs. It would help if those in England didn't keep bastardizing the language though.

I'm too sensitive about the "Mexican" thing probably. I really need to stay out of this thread. It stresses me out, but for some reason I keep coming back. :/

Where I live the Hispanic population is mostly Mexican. They are all catholic and against birth control.

I wouldn't call the entire Hispanic and Latino population "Mexicans".
