Abortion is morally wrong

I always feel sick when I see Christian men talking about this, essentially endorsing human sacrifice of women. This is one issue intake a very hard line on.

A NORMAL pregnancy is not "momentary discomfort" for the woman involved. It involves serious pain all through the pregnancy, cramps, depression, genetic changes, permanent changes to her body. For many women it includes nausea. And that's best case scenario. Many women experience fatal complications, or complications that render their lives much worse. Claiming the fetus' life is greater than the woman's means taking the woman as a sacrificial animal.

Meh, more like a field to be plowed.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

So if we grant the premise that abortion is morally wrong, perhaps we could try to rank it among the pantheon of morally contemptible acts. I'm thinking it might be in the range of sneezing without turning away. Not quite as bad as failing to cover up when you cough. Worse than back sliding when you try to diet perhaps?

you seem to be a little misinformed about abortion. First of all Abortion does not kill Fetuses. In the united states abortions are only suppose to take place as late as 16 weeks which at this point the baby is not yet a fetus. But abortions most commonly take place around 6-8 weeks of pregnancy.

There would be no moral dilemma and I'm as certain as I can be (no one can know for sure if it hasn't happened) that I will not feel a single ounce of guilt. If I were to somehow decide I wanted to have another child (fat chance) that would be a moral dilemma for me. I would have to spends months thinking about it and deciding if it would be morally wrong for me to risk my life when I have 3 other children who need me, or spread my time, energy, love, and finances by adding a fourth child. Those are real moral dilemmas to me. An abortion, to me, would be no more of a moral dilemma than having tubal litigation. Maybe my morals are off, I don't know.
The morality of it is up to each person, even if you felt guilty, sometimes people have to commit immoral acts, we have all done it and sometimes it's inevitable. I think the morality of abortion will vary according to the woman and according to the reason. Maybe aborting for rape will fell less guilty for many women than aborting for not taking responsibilities, but I might be wrong.

I forget who said it but the comment was made that if men had babies you could get abortions in Starbucks.

So true. It would at least be available as a pill that you could have paid for by your medical plan.

Today, I am interested in the topic of abortion. I believe it to be morally wrong for non-religious reasons. Simply put, a fetus is a human being from the moment of conception since it belongs to the species homo-sapiens and is genetically complete in its information. I look forward to any responses!

Kindest Regards,

Truthfully, just the word abortion makes me cringe. I love children, loved being pregnant, and so enjoyed raising my babies!

I had 3 miscarriages due to an abusive husband, so I was pregnant 5 times, but I only have 2 children. Each time I lost a baby, it not only seemed that every other woman was glowingly pregnant and happy, but I would hear of someone in my realm of friends, having an abortion.

Having said that, it is unfair of me, to judge another woman and what she chooses to do with her body, by my painful past. EVERY woman deserves the right to choose.

No, if men were the ones getting pregnant we would create a portable device to instantaneously abort anytime we want.
