Gotta second all the above and add that the reason that we can funnel so much money in the first place - is that we honestly don't notice that it's gone. None of us. It's tiny to us but immense to those that do or don't receive it. It sways like nothing else sways. I can't imagine why we wouldn't send out foreign aid - even to our "enemies". What's the worst that it could do? Level the playing field with respect to automatic rifles and body armor? Bring it.

Can I assume that you also hope that Hamas rockets don't kill Israelis?
Civilian casualties in armed conflict are always deplorable. Israel can retaliate in a very surgical manner; however, if Hamas insists on embedding itself in the densely populated Gaza Strip, civilian casualties will be unavoidable. Palestinian blood will be on Hamas' hands.

let me ask you. If some goofy morons fire homemade rockets from Mexico into t Texass, does that justify the US military going into Mexico and killing hundreds of people?

Israel's human rights violations have been atrocious, it sickens me that America lunges to support them... especially those gung-ho Christian fundamentalists who see the silver lining in their end of times prophecies. It's macabre to me that they can't wait for the end.

For everyone either denying or questioning God's existence this should put an end to all doubt....I totally aree with Cato's response! A miracle!....in any event, to avoid their own civilian casualties, one would think that the Palestinians themselves would take some responsibilty and demand that Hamas not headquarter in their densely populated areas since Israel, for sure, will retaliate everytime Hamas fires a rocket at them.

You're assuming that they don't want dead palestinians on tv? The isrealis are better at stirring up anti-isreali sentiment than hamas is. Hamas recognizes this, and facilitates it (hoping to exploit it).

No. I'm assuming that Israel wants to kill Hamas, and that Hamas doesn't care one damn thing for the Palestinians other than, (as you pointed out), to exploit them. I'm just amazed that the Palestinians themselves don't demand that Hamas get out of their populated areas. You would think they'd have learned by now that Israel's going to respond everytime Hamas fires rockets at them.
