An eight pointed star- an octogram.
Where do we find that shape in history?
The Sumerian female god Ishtar's symbol was a star with 8 points.
I am told the star of the morning (Lucifer's) symbol is the same,
as is the shape found in the Muslim dome of the rock.
The UN seat number 666 is currently un-occupied.
The purpose of the UN is as the name implies- a united world.
Any connection to a New World Order must be merely co-incidental.
Right?
Firstly, it's not an 8 pointed star, it's an 8 armed cross, it actually looks a lot more like the British Union Flag than any other symbol.
Secondly, 666 is probably not the number of the beast. Here's a snip from Wiki
"Around 2005, a fragment from Papyrus 115, taken from the Oxyrhynchus site, was discovered at the Oxford University’s Ashmolean Museum. It gave the beast’s number as 616 χις. This fragment happens to be the oldest manuscript (about 1,700 years old) of Revelation 13 to date."
Be a Christian by all means, don't be a stupid Christian, your God gave you a brain, use it.

"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)
