I'm was born in Egypt, but my culture is and my heart belongs to the INTERNET. I spend 99% of my time on the digital world; Working(web developing) , communicating(forums usually), playing(online games) .
I'm a nerd shhhhhh
This made me think outside the box and made me feel that this whole country thing is very over-rated .

Where are these trails?!? I must know, even if I never hike them I must know!
We have several gorgeous places to hike in my area, but Virginia Kendall Ledges is my favorite. That's where I got the pictures from.

Can you tell, I kinda like hiking. I really want to do the Appalachian Trail some day. Yes, all of it. Really.
Luckie,
Thanks for the Colorado pics. Some of the places are quite familiar, others are new places for me to explore.
I still can't figure why you'd move from Co. to Ks.
It would take a pro-quarterback's salary, a threat to life or limb (well, maybe) or the need for right to die laws to make me leave. I've lived away from my Rockies and suffered constant withdrawal every time.

And a chainsaw, derp. Sadly, I don't own the land and the owner has no fucks to give about my view.
It also happens to be several hundreds of acres of timber. Somehow, I think they'd notice.

My daughter took this one out my bedroom window, earlier this spring.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Well, it took until I was 22 to figure out that I wasn't 'lazy', and needed to be on Oxygen at that altitude. I came to KS for a graduation a few years back and felt like a fish in water. So I went home, packed, and moved to where I could breathe. Its a sore spot, truly. Allll my family lives there. I feel like an exhile. They don't understand why I can't just wear oxygen and live there-- which I did try for years. Didn't help, I'm too active to be held down by tubes.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

That I can understand. Beautiful places are one thing. Being able to breath well enough to enjoy them is far more important.
I'm fortunate (and know it) that after 31 years of smoking I can still go hiking above 10,000 ft.

I don't smoke simply cuz I don't like the taste of it, I don't know how do smokers smoke so much despite its awful taste .

It's amazing what you can get used to. Before switching to e-cigs/personal vaporizers (much better name since most don't look like cigs any more) I have tripped up on occasion (like any other nicotine replacement). I can honestly say, the last time the taste was "holy shit how the fuck could I do this 20+ times a day for over thirty years?!?" What used to be neutral or maybe mildly enjoyable has become something I shudder at the thought of. YES! This time, I'm staying off of 'em.
