I've never seen that video before. I have seen one where people are talking in a concentration camp, and come to the conclusion that their god may have simply made a new covenant with new people.
If anything can be gathered from history, I'd say that land is cursed.

The Palestinians believe its theirs because they've lived there for almost two thousand years, the Jews think its theirs because they stole it more recently.( but still over a generation ago). Yes it is. Arguing the dodges with claims of "ethnic" "race" as land entitlement does not change that "Jew" is based on "Hebrew" which is a religion and the Talmud is a Hebrew book. Islam is the only other dominate religion in that area, and yes, Arabs try to claim it is secular too. But when you look at the bigger history long term, you cannot avoid religion as being the cause. But if someone wants to make it secular even in that case it still amounts to "I am fine with the other as long as I am top of the social pecking order". The secular excuses on both sides are simply dodges. |
