I'm not sure why the Jews think that is their promised land, when they've had to fight over it from day 1. They had to steal it from other tribes after leaving Egypt, and they've been in bloody conflict over it ever since.

Um they were never in Egypt at least not as slaves like the OT claims. But I agree, it is about land entitlement.

Yeah, I've heard that. We have yet to find evidence of their slavery in Egypt or the exodus through the desert. Likely no great war of people taking the promised land that other tribes already had, either. The places are real, but the stories are fake.

There was probabaly a small group of a few hundred who managed to get away, and made themselves into heroes, good story-telling.
