You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

I get that impression. I just like to give people a chance to get out of what ever stupid thing they've said and admit they've said something silly because I know I say stupid things all the time and I'd like that chance also. :-)

I must admit that those who have been here longer seem to be better at sniffing those type out.
