There was
Agape, or the type of love we are to have for God, which btw is the word Jesus was using in the passage you quoted. This for. Of love is based in fear and respect.
We are commanded to give God agape. This type of love is something we can indeed provide on demand.
How does one fear and respect what is not here except in the imaginations of people like you?
Fear is generated by man against what can harm him. Man cannot respect in the way you mean what can harm him. Hate is more like what we think of what can harm us.
Esoterically speaking, that is why God hated Esau even before he could do good or evil. He represented change and your God and church, as shown by the Inquisition and laws against reading the bible, --- show how Christians are just idol worshipers.

It's generated by both sexes of many animals and not just by what can harm them, think about horror films and stuff. Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason. RE: Can you love on command?

Why do you think we like horror films? Why do we flinch say when two cars collide? It is because we are injecting ourselves into the characters or internalizing the film and placing ourselves into the action. That is us, in the scenario given, showing our fear to having a car crash. Have you never seen such a scene and said, God I am glad that was not me, (in reality is understood). See it? Your whole arguement hinges on this defination. That word does not mean what you think it does. Define the groundless hate God felt for Esau. You are adding a definition to the word love that is not shown in the dialog and your own bible says that we are not to add or subtract from it. I like you when you're bossy
Quote:Ok. I did. I think people like horror films because they're interesting to watch. Yes people do imagine themselves being a part of the film, so that just proves that people can fear things that they imagine. So when you said Quote:How does one fear and respect what is not here except in the imaginations of people like you? I say that fear is not always generated by man against what can harm him, it sometimes is generated by what a man or woman imagines can happen to them, reality is not a prime requisite for generating fear. Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. Its sort of like obeying the road rules, such as stopping at a red light, we lean that rule when we are just starting to drive a car, but what is more important than the rule is, that we don't go through a red light because we could kill someone or ourselves, this realization is above the law. Yes just like parables, if one is ready to receive what is at the heat of the parable, then that is what they will find within the parable. This is the same as the letter of scripture, its either you will stay with the husk or the outside letter, or you will realize the truth that is found within the kernel of the word. So those people don't really love gay people per se, thay just want them to stop being gay, which is not the same thing. Loving someone means that we do not want them to live in a way that will be harmful to them. God has laws that we are all required to obey. We must warn people not to violate those laws and if they have done so we must tell them how to obtain God's forgiveness. We are to treat everyone this way, not just gay people. Our objective regarding gay people isn't to stop them from being gay. http://christiananswers.net/q-cross/cros...hange.html
His invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
