Holy crap Bad, dont feed him.

YES WE CAN JUDGE just like we say 'BULLSHIT" to anyone claiming the earth is flat or that the moon is made of cheese.

Those claims are not rooted in science and he knows it. Do not let your empathy or sense of fair play cloud your reasoning.

WE CAN AND SHOULD DISMISS IT. Just like we no longer use horses and have cars. Just like we no longer use rotary phones. Just like you grow up and no longer believe in SANTA.

There is nothing wrong in giving up on bad claims. Not only is it ok, it is required to clear the way to the future.

If froodo had on lick of credible universal evidence it would be useful like his car and his computer. He merely has a fantasy.

Still banging on about impossible evidence. Oh dear. No progress.

No I don't assume God. You assume God by asking the question with him as subject. Assuming God, you have your answer.

You grew up, but you never progressed beyond the notion that there should be physical evidence of something not physical.

The crucial difference between Santa, the FSM, and some vague notion of gods, of course, is that the latter of the three appears to naturally arise in human beings as a consequence of their illusory "divided self," a remote analogy between the clockwork of nature and the intentional machinations of their handiwork, a sense of moral obligation to some elevated authority, and the ideals of perfection and infinity that practical reason seem to inevitably lead. This is not to say that an idea of a god is true, just that it is natural, and hence makes its comparisons with those other notions utterly superfluous. No doubt Christians and those of the type of faith who believe in a God which regularly intercedes in their own personal lives to save them from minor inconveniences or promises to deal out rewards and punishments for good and bad behavior is entirely comparable to Santa, the God of intelligent persons deserves a more thoughtful rebuttal.

I never assumed God as a child. I grew up in a disbelieving family. God was never really considered. It wasn't until my mid 20's that I reasoned to believe.

NO you did not, someone had to make that verbal communication to you. Just like babies do not believe in ALLAH but later someone introduces them to the claim.

Still not an argument for a god, any god at all. Even as adults humans leave one religion for another. Muslims become Christians and Christians become Muslims, but none of them move to something without someone else presenting the concept to them.

That does not mean because they do this that they have good reason to do it, much less evidence.

You did not "reason" yourself to that position, you looked for excuses to move to that position.

I'm not arguing for a God Brian. You're arguing against, and with no good reason so far. I don't argue that God exists physically. I believe the opposite, as is the Christian position. Can you produce someone who can prove that God exists verifiably? I cannot. And I feel pretty confident in stating that no such person exists.

I doubt you'll move on from your unworkable argument though.

You say I didn't reason. All I see is you making unreasonable arguments. I've argued many times on this forum on the subject and not once has anyone successfully challenged the belief. Logic, it seems, is on my side, until someone can show otherwise.

Can you provide someone who can explain the difference between a non-physical substance that exists independent of any physical processes and something that is non-existent?

Because I cannot either.

We can prove that the earth isn't flat. We can't prove that a god doesn't exist.

Dude you have a god belief, you have been making arguments against us this entire thread, so do not lie to us and say you are not arguing for your position. You look like a liar claiming that.

Quote: Can you produce someone who can prove that God exists verifiably? I cannot.

Now see if you can spot the pattern.

"Can you produce someone who can prove that Allah verifiablly exists?I cannot"
"Can you produces someone who can prove that Yahweh verifiably exists? I cannot"
"Can you produce someone who can prove that Vishnu verifiably exists. I cannot"
"Can you produce someone who can prove that invisible pink unicorns eixst? I cannot."

Not my job to do your homework for you. If you want to claim a god named Booflelite from the planet Zarnoob was a real god you'd be stupid to throw up your hands and go "Hey he claimed it so it must be true".

Funny how payday at work doesn't work like that otherwise your boss could give you an invisible paycheck with invisible money.

Hi pickup.

"Can you provide someone who can explain the difference between a non-physical substance that exists independent of any physical processes and something that is non-existent?"

Of course not. And I shouldn't be able to, is my argument.

@ Brian: what's the difference between one non provable entity and another... nothing.

See pickups post for a dismissal of that above.

Am I claiming physical existence that you can prove? Erm, no. Then why are you asking for it??
