Why Would God Hide?
RE: Why Would God Hide?
Okay snowy, let's try something.

According to xtianity, there was supposedly nothing but void for quadrillions of years. Then one day for no reason at all, this void decided to grow a brain, turn into a god and start thinking about making a universe. How did this brain survive long enough in the void to evolve into a god and where did it get its god powers from?

If you can't answer, then clearly the question is a stumper.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Betcha the answer's gonna be that god is eternal, as if that makes any more sense. Better yet, it's gonna be made without a shred of evidence or even a hint that points toward that, and it invalidates a number of other hard rules Snowy has tried to apply to us, but he's just gonna expect that we accept it sight unseen. God keeps his crazy mom upstairs in the guest room. Not unlike Norman Bates . . . . .

Scientific knowledge is possible only within the 4 dimensions of our space-time-matter-energy universe which began 13 bya. Before that or what the universe is expanding into is non-dimensional of which there is no knowledge except through revelation. So, there no void or zillions of years before; void = space, and years = time. Everything within this universe is subject to the laws and dimensions and is constrained by a single dimension of time, where time cannot be stopped or reversed, and as such must have a beginning. If God is the causal agent that brought the universe into existence, He is not constrained or controlled by the cosmic timeline; hence, doesn’t require a beginning. Also, His capabilities are at least ∞^7 greater than any entity or the universe itself that's ushered along the universe’s one timeline.

Do you have any evidence to justify literally any of what you just said? Dodgy

Somehow, I get the feeling that none of this was even up for consideration by Christians until science chipped away at the idea that the sky was a dome over a flat Earth that god used as a footstool. It'd be interesting to see just how the explanations changed through the ages as more knowledge became available and god wasn't where he was expected to be found. I also wonder when was the first time someone finally got exasperated enough to exclaim "science can't explain EVERYTHING" because they were tired of pushing god into one corner after another.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I didn't see any single-word answers in there. Clearly you're stumped by the question. I mean, it couldn't have been a malformed question or anything, right?

And I prophesy the point whizzed right over your head yet again, snedgey.

No change there, then.
well hypothetically let say mid-way thru the universe’s timeline around 6 bya, nothing but rocks, then suddenly there was a thought. From a naturalistic point of view that would seem to be the highlight moment so far. Just what was that thought (speculation) or is the secret still secured ?

That doesn't even make sense. Consciousness is a property of brains, and brains are a product of evolution.

"of which there is no knowledge except through revelation"
Congratulations. That may be the first reasonably accurate claim you've made.

Except you need to replace 'revelation' with 'imagination'. Revelation, like faith, is entirely inside your head.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

The existence of the universe only makes sense if God exists, even though the existence of God makes no sense. IOW, it takes a nonsense to explain a nonsense. :-)

That's your cue, snowball.
