I could spend hours showing you example after example of stupidity or insanity defended by feminists, usually justified with feminist ideology. This isn't an isolated incident with just one feminist; there's something wrong with certain feminist circles and until the moderates address the elephant in the room, the rest of the world is going to continue see them all as uptight bitches.

Ordinarly I would agree with that, but if I'm a parent who sees my kid aking up goofy stories like this over and over and over again, eventually I'm going to start looking at their claims with a fair amount of skepticism. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if this wasn't the first time she pulled a stunt like that.

I wouldn't be surprised either but she did have a legitimate traumatising event with her father. She used to live in Australia when she was little and she told me something about her and her dad being out in the desert and then her hallucinating for some reason, maybe dehydration or heatstroke. Anyway, it seemed bad so that may be why her mother reacted like she did.

OK, I caught up a little bit. He went on to say, "I realise that the majority of feminists aren't like that, but still I have a bad association with the feminist movement because of it," which is pretty much what I said. So what's the problem?

No, it's not "pretty much what you said". Reading comprehension goes a long way bud. He said that he acknowledges the fact that most feminists aren't like that, but his gut response to it is a negative one. He certainly isn't stereotyping all feminsts, which would be if he did say "all/most feminists are like this", which is the opposite of what he did say.

Uh..and not to mention, that was like the fourth or so post of the entire thread. Not much of a catch-up.
