Why won't you go?
What would you do if you found out they're gay? RE: Gay rights within the template of religion proves flaws in "religion"

Either that or you think I'm retarded. Of course you haven't come to a conclusion yet. That's why you're undecided. You could have just said "I write organized groups of words because I want to communicate", and it'd have the same amount of information pertinent to the question: none. The question is: why haven't you reached a conclusion? Why do you feel that the matter even needs questioning? If it's not that homosexuals are somehow fundamentally different in such a manner that the question of whether or not they deserve equal rights is actually worth asking, then what's the problem? Again, answer plainly.

Let's just hope you never have a loved one or person you are important to whom you'll feel compelled to hurt in this fashion. But I wonder: do you really think you can justify your opposition to gay marriage from your religion? The same books in the bible which decry homosexuality make a whole host of commandments which are absolutely absurd from a modern perspective, and are therefore ignored by you. If you think homosexuality is a no no, and are against gay marriage, it's just because of your prejudice, a just so decision to deny these people certain rights. You don't have a justification from your religion which you can bring forth in good faith.

My 2 cents - we should ease up on C4RM5. This is what happens when Christianity meets morality. On one hand, he knows that there is no actual moral justification for condemning gays or denying them rights. On the other hand, saying or even thinking of supporting gay-rights puts him at odds with his adopted faith. So, he remains "undecided".
