They told the men of Benjamin who still needed wives, "Go and hide in the vineyards. When the women of Shiloh come out for their dances, rush out from the vineyards, and each of you can take one of them home to be your wife! And when their fathers and brothers come to us in protest, we will tell them, 'Please be understanding. Let them have your daughters, for we didn't find enough wives for them when we destroyed Jabesh-gilead. And you are not guilty of breaking the vow since you did not give your daughters in marriage to them.'" So the men of Benjamin did as they were told. They kidnapped the women who took part in the celebration and carried them off to the land of their own inheritance. Then they rebuilt their towns and lived in them. So the assembly of Israel departed by tribes and families, and they returned to their own homes.

Gods character runs throughout all the pages of the book.That fact that you cant discern that makes no difference to those that have faith and believe.
One thing I always find odd is the requirement of belief and/or faith.
Have you ever considered the possibility that such requirement is in place precisely because there's nothing of substance to the whole thing that's being believed in?

Also now in a modern age doesn't this mean jesus died for nothing if we were going to gradually get better with our morals and we are to a point for the most part
in the world decent people. so jesus death was in vain and only was for those in that time who had a questionable morality. if jesus/god knew how people were going to get
better morally he would not died at all and taken peoples help even the devils help.

If you're going to give thanks to someone who died before you were born for your benefit, thank someone who actually existed and actually gave their life and actually made a difference, to an actual problem, like the people who died in the world wars. Not someone who died so you can be forgiven for being an ancestor of some guy who ate an apple.

The forty men traditionally given credit for for writing a part of the Bible actually existed. (40 presups)
The forty men traditionally given credit for writing a part of the Bible were holy. (40 more presups)

If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

God would have no freewill if god did exist
for god to exist he would have to be imperfect because a perfect being could not exist.
