Damned Christians
RE: Damned Christians
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

^I also object to casting Meryl Streep as Aslan. Glenn Close would have been a MUCH better choice.

I've always enjoyed the Narnia books, despite them being buy-bull allegory. I'm looking forward to the latest adaptations and hope they do a more faithful job than the last set.

Having said that, I'll stream every freakin' one of them twice, as long as they make them, just to spite the christer complainer set, regardless of show quality!

The Narnia Chronicles were the last books I read to my son.  After that it was determined he was too old to have mommy reading to him.  'sniff, sniff'

You have to see the irony though, religious people complaining that you can't just make things up, and Christians insisting you must be true to the original version of a story.

That's why they're consistent and acknowledge the story of Noah is a re-imagining of tablet 11 of the Epic of Gilgamesh written at least 500 years before Genesis. /s

I wasn't particularly interested in this new movie since I saw the previous ones, but now I'm curious.

Assuming the story is even true, Grok also has favored Nazis. That's one AI I wouldn't trust for anything. Musk has screwed with its training to favor his own ideas.
