Yeah, but then he threatened to imprison me for the rest of eternity in his torture dungeon if I didn't.

Maybe it's more like an S&M club. Succubi probably make great dominatrixes. Just read Mike Carey for confirmation.

S&M clubs have safe words and rules. God doesn't give a shit about your consent, sanity, or safety.

I think his list of safe words is something like "MORE" or "AGAIN" or words to that effect. The trick is that he'll claim he "only believes in a literal interpretation."
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

We have our loved ones, each other, counseling, and so forth.

But few of us consider suicide some sort of 'sin'. If you're suffering greatly with no point and no reasonable hope of it ending while you're alive, I don't fault someone for availing themselves of that option. I consider it cruel to force someone under such circumstances to continue their life. Let them have more morphine, it's a lovely way to go.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

I agree with you on that. Considering if someone is in that bad of a situation were they don't want to live anymore i mean that's their life no one should hold any obligations against it. Then there is the other part to it meaning terminal illness hell i would kill myself i wouldn't want to die in a hospital attached to machinery to keep me alive that is way is worse because that is a slow painful death.
