Result in someone being shown the door? Yes. It makes no point. It ignores a plain response. It's author has lost control and feels the need to resort to swearing. Classic trolling: no point to make yet said insultingly. And this is why we have a quorum for discussion. It's your subjective opinion that Ryan was trolling; who is there to assess your opinion and provide feedback with their own? In your system, you would have banned Ryan purely because you felt insulted and provoked.

That is why I would not want to be a mod here. xD
I would be like Fuck the quorum. *Lets the banhammer fall*

Unfortunate when presiding over religious views. What is my system exactly? I'm interested to hear my opinion. I don't report posts when I know it would be wasting your collective time. You've made your opinions quite clear thanks.
Does religious affiliation make a difference in matters pertaining to the Rules?
As for your opinion, I couldn't care less and haven't mentioned it. I was talking about why the system in place works as opposed to your subjective feeling, which you brought up in context a few posts ago.

Nonetheless you presume to speak for me brother. It is my contention that some things are subjective, like our opinion on what constitutes trolling, for example.
When a rule depends on the religious affiliation of both defence and prosecution... you bet. Quote:You all keep telling me that my opinion of trolling is the opposite of my own. I've raised this in the new rules thread. Answer that if you're interested in democracy. Ah, I think we've found the problem. This isn't a democracy - it's a privately owned public forum with rules of behaviour which apply to everyone equally and are agreed to just as equally. Those of us in red and green have been selected to interpret and apply those rules on a voluntary basis, that's all.

That's why we have to make rules about such things as unambiguous as possible, with staff discussion to decide whether they apply. You realise I'm going to ask you to cite examples of rules like that, don't you?
