Who's trying to silence you? We're having a discussion about this in the open forum. Nobody has tried to censor you, we're just disagreeing with you. If I didn't want my views challenged I wouldn't be on an atheist forum for my kicks now would I? I have a very "atheist" Christian perspective different to other Christians. I'm happy about that. It's where I want to be.
I liked Tibs' ethos in setting this forum up to welcome theists and foster interaction. For an atheist forum I think it's done better than any to my knowledge.

Not that it's any of your damn business, but the quorum system was proposed and then discussed by all Staff before being enabled (and in fact has been under review for some weeks). The six total was felt to be the most fair to the forum and its member base, since that really only applies to higher power actions with harder hitting effects (permanent bans etc). Lesser actions, including thread lockdowns, merges etc - you know, the actual bread and butter work of maintaining a forum that hardly anyone moans about - require increasingly smaller quorum consensus. Basic actions such as post moderation and killing spambots don't require any discussion or quorum at all, beyond the judgement of individual Staff members. In fact, I've often wondered how some of you would react if we went on strike for a week or so.
Basically, please tell us how to do our job again. It always gets a laugh.

No one is saying anyone here is above criticism by merely telling you you do not own this particular board. You can suggest sure, but if the owner does not take that suggestion, they do not have to.
If you do not like what is done here, no one is stopping you from going to other places or starting your own page where you can do your own thing and criticize whomever you want.
Please do one thing, accept that you do not make the rules here. I don't either.

I'd really, truly, love to have seen his reaction to the old EvilBible forum. The owner, Chris, ran it like a dictatorship and regularly banned people without warning, regulars or not, mostly for disagreeing with his opinions. In fact, that's what caused its final meltdown in the end.
