Christians, Prove Your God Is Good

If not believing in god is considered evil by your standard, then you have a twisted sense of evil.

No. To not believe in God is not a sin; breaking His commandments is.

People do not love their neighbors as themselves. I seriously doubt any of you are poor, and I bet most of you are incredibly wealthy, at least compared to the truly poor of this world. The following applies to you.

God doesn't starve children; people starve children. People in first world countries don't give; they withhold. How many children could any of you have saved from starvation or dehydration or disease, yet they died anyway because you'd rather spend money on your damned selves and your entertainment instead of them?

You all dare lecture me on morality? You hypocrites, take a look in the mirror!

There is nothing you could ever say or do to wash the blood from your hands; only our Lord and Savior is capable of doing that. Claim some moral high ground when you've actually earned the right...until then, perhaps you should shut your mouths.

I hate to quote myself, but all this vile bullshit is making me rather impatient. Will you answer that question?

You're pulling it from your ass whenever it suits you, but as soon as you're challenged it's the sound of silence. Some nonsensical bullshit about how brutal it is aside. How can an immortal creator of everything die and what for if he doesn't answer to some higher power?

I've already explained this. It doesn't matter if He lived after He died; what matters is that He suffered as He did when He committed no crimes, and that He did it on purpose, simply to express His love for us and show solidarity with us in our own suffering.

How would you like to be crucified? Sounds like fun, doesn't it!

No shit! Supposedly, that put paid to all our sins so that we wouldn't have to face these harsh judgements. Guess that part is just as much bullshit as the rest of it.

Actually, we lecture you on your gawd's morality. Whether or not we are moral, giving or kind is irrelevant to whether you gawd should allow the level of suffering that it does.

Bullshit. According to your own book of iron age myths, he did it to pay the wages of our sins.

Can't you get anything straight?!?

The Bible doesn't say that anywhere, that is pure and unadulterated man-made conjecture.

Why shouldn't He? Does the human race abide by His laws? Do we love our neighbors as ourselves? If you are honest with yourself, you will see that we absolutely do not; not even close. Therefore, we suffer His wrath.

If you want to debate a particular Scripture, you'll have to post one. Who exactly did He pay? To Whom does God owe anything? It is just a figure of speech.

I have an airtight alibi. I wasn't even born yet when Eve is said to have eaten the apple. Frankly I suspect Eve was set up. Framed by 'god' to do exactly what she had been created to do thereby justifying every subsequent cruel act 'He' is said to have visited on 'His' people.

As for being grateful when 'He' is said to have given birth to himself in the flesh so as to offer himself up as a sacrifice to appease himself .. really? I wasn't even born yet when that renegade Jew was crucified. I couldn't have done anything to bring about 'His' plan. If I'm really suppose to feel grateful for any of this then I was just created really, really badly. Cuz I feel no gratitude at all. I am damaged goods put together by an incompetent creator .. and damn it I want my money back.

I accept no responsibility for what happens in the imaginations of cult members. I certainly never asked anyone to remove the sin some god is alleged to have built into me.

Not really all that much suffering compared to others who lived longer when crucified or suffered at the hands of his followers.

A few days of suffering would be tolerable if I knew I would be coming back as the immortal emperor of the universe.

And blah, blah, blah....

It doesn't matter how I would feel, since I'm no immortal being and creator. So cut that shit.

And now it's solidarity in our suffering and not atoning for our sins. Again, it doesn't matter, since he was the one creating the situation in the first place. Sure you wanna leave it at that and not try to come up with some more believable reason?

Well Miles, I think you have entirely surrendered all of your humanity over to this cult. I really hope that you don't make decisions in real life using these kind of thought processes.

I can see nothing I could ever say is going to even vaguely register so I'm done trying.

I'll leave you with this: god's judgement and wrath! What's he getting angry about? He chooses exactly what people are going to do, their whole life. They have no choice in the matter, according to you. Then he gets amazingly angry about what they have done, and sees fit to punish them eternally with torture. To me, this sounds like a child playing with dolls, moving them around, and then getting furious at them and throwing them in a furnace. Except those poor dolls have to experience everything this child is putting them through in excruciating detail.

And you think this is a being worthy of worship?

Yes, it seems harsh, but the wrath of God is no joke.

Hey Miles, this awesome all knowing god of yours, just before IT said let there be light, IT ran the scenario of Adam and Eve never eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil out to eternity, right?

We're talking god here, it would have no problem running both scenarios and then choose which scenario IT wanted to use.

So god chose this reality to use as ITs creation model.

Yes, of course, just as Nebuchadnezzar was doing God's will (and the Bible explicitly says he was). Hitler didn't know that's what he was doing, of course, and Hitler I am sure has been severely punished, as he should have been. No one escapes justice.

Wait, did I read this correctly? Hitler was under gods command and doing so is now being punished? And you're sure of that?
