The burden of reason lies on the one making the claim from the normal expected state. I don't have to waste my time trying to "prove" that the sun will shine tomorrow even if I first propose the claim. The "Average" male does "mate up" one way or another, so the onus is to prove jesus did not follow the norm of his day. The evidence that he didn't occasionally fuck is weaker than the evidence that he did given so little evidence.
Trivial claims require little evidence, but extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

You're right. I'm inclined to think that it doesn't matter if he was single, gay, married to one person or even several. The whole book is filled with nonsense. I don't even know if the dude was real, and IF he was, of all the crazy shit the book says he did, marriage would be the easiest and most trivial thing to convince me of as being true. That being said, the bible is like the longest and oldest active game of Telphone. So, using that book to source details like the character's hair color or favorite food seems to be a bit pointless.

It is a claim just as your statement that jesus was not married is a claim, both claims having sources to support them but no validity present to support the claims as anything nearing what could pass for truth.
In providing my sources I am meŕely showing that there are sources available to support the claim. It is up to you to choose to believe in either the not married myth or the married myth.

But you haven't provided any sources have you? You guys don't have a problem providing chapter and verse of the Bible when it suits you, why then is it so hard to get a specific reference to your claim in the apocryphal books?
