One question that springs to mind. Could Mary have been woman who couldn't have a child in the first place? Is it very possible that Joseph and Mary used a surrogate mother and then claimed the child as their own? If people knew about her infertility, then of course there would be rumours about a "miracle birth."

So Mary was not a virgin all her life. She'd never get any sleep.
(This was carefully designed to work with both meanings of the phrase "to knock a person up".)
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

That's even worse than the Huffington Post articles. I am beginning to see Raw Story is written by people who don't do research. That is the biggest concern I see for atheism advocacy in America....it's all talking about education but never advocating actual education. Like those Christians who praise being generous yet walk by in judgement of the homeless without a single sign of remorse or compassion.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
Raw Story is a news compilation service. The OP clearly indicates the article appeared on Alternet.
Wake up, polecat. Life is good here on planet Earth.
Mary, Mary, quite contrary
