I don't know if this counts, but I just started a new religion where I'm god. That would be awesome if it was true.

I'm quite liking the norse myself. Valhalla seems an excellent afterlife, and I believe the norse God's require relatively little by way of obescence.

You can pick religions found in fiction, but not ones you've made up yourself.
