I think that whole region should just be a secular, religiously neutral state. One state, with no official religion.
It's over-idealistic and it won't happen, but in an ideal world that's the only solution.
I have every sympathy with any innocent civilian, Muslim, Jew or otherwise, who has been caught in the crossfire of the Israel-Palestine war. However, I have no sympathy for the political parties, who are fighting a petty war over a glorified strip of barren desert just because it is labelled "The Holy Land". No. It's pathetic and it has to stop. Just make one secular state which is religiously neutral and give everyone there equal freedom of religion.
In other words, move the fuck into the 21st century like most of the Western world and East Asia have.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie

I think It's that fixation on what we wish things to be over what things are all are that worsened the problem to their current predicament in the first place.

Both the zionist and the Palestinian movements were largely secular and nationalist in their origins. Both were rather left leaning in my living memory. The religious nuttery and shift to the right only came at a later stage. On both sides.

I vote yes. However, I think a true DMZ needs to be established and enforced between the two states. It has worked well in other parts of the world so I think it is worth a try there as well. There needs to be a neutral ground between them and have it enforced by the United Nations, like a parent breaking up a fight between two kids. Either that or we need to build a giant water hose to spray them with every time they get into a fight.

Where's the option that Israel is an illegal State?

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK
