2016 Elections

RE: 2016 Elections
My only rule is that I never vote for a war criminal or someone who will be a war criminal.

I've never voted.

There's always Utah, which has only one party (Republican) with the races decided in this party's caucuses, which are held at LDS stake presidents' homes and attended by a faithful who sustain the leadership. Without the Romster in 2016, they'll be disappointed but keeping his disdain for the 47% in mind as they did in 2012. Republicans don't need Citizens United when they don't even need TV advertising to win. I manage to vote in this mess. You'd be surprised how many dissident votes there are: They've got a ways to go to match the 99.98% unanimity of Soviet elections.

Yeah...Utah is a whole other animal.  I'm in Arizona and we have our share of mormon fuckheads running around loose.  But at least they aren't a majority.

I'm keeping an open mind. Thus far I find the debate occurring in the Republican field of candidates far more interesting and healthy. The Democrats have Hilary and that's it. I will say this, though, if the election really does comes down to Bush or Clinton I'm going to vote for the most aesthetically pleasing name on my ballot that isn't theirs.

That usually doesn't end well.

Um dont confuse optimist with delusional idealism. I am in no pursuit of a utopia. If you don't at least try you don't get anything at all. If you want to give up, you can. I wont.

You're a trooper, Brian. I appreciate and respect that. Sometimes, I read your stuff and see someone who is half-cocked, extremist and over the top. There's never any denying your grit and determination though.

I agree with you 100% in this case. I don't see much use for defeatism. You go for what you believe in. Even if you fail, at least you retain your self-respect.

I like Hillary, myself. I wish she was more left socially but I like her centralist views regarding the economy and national defense.

The bottom line though is that the GOP MUST be opposed because they are a major, fucking problem. They will set us back as a country socially, scientifically and diplomatically. They are the party of the 15th century. They need to wake to fuck up and establish a different base - one that doesn't revel in ignorance as if it were a virtue.

I suspect Mickey Carstairs is going to stand for the local Health Board, and I quite like him.  Further than that, I plan to skew my votes for the foreseeable future on the issue of changing our stupid fucking flag.

Anything but a bullshit democrat and hillary clinton. The only good thing barack obama did for this country is to ruin the chances for a democrat to win the White House in 2016. barack's  leaving a big mess to clean up after he leaves office.

I wonder if the GOP and DEMs made a bet on who could bankrupt the country with an endless series of wars first.
