Back in the days of my lost youth I smoked quite a bit of the stuff. Loved it, but wouldn't have had any trouble with balance on a bike. Now after about a pint of Yukon Jack 100 proof - that was a different story. I have the scars to prove it. And jail time ...

Hey, do you happen to know if the combination of drugs/alcohol is dangerous? Because me and the boys tend to drink a lot when we hang out.

Well . . . as I recall (for what it is worth) I would smoke an ounce by myself in about a month. I would smoke all day, taking about 4 hits off a pipe every 2 hours until night and then smoke like crazy.
Drugs and alcohol are dangerous. When someone takes a swing at you and you are so gimp you can't even see it coming that is a potential danger, young man!
When you wrap your bicycle around a stationary object that you didn't realize was there, I can tell you boy howdy that can be dangerous!
Listening to that negroid rock and rolling music popping and locking and yeah! It is all fun and games 'till someone gets hurt.
I wonder why it was always me. Maybe because I always had to take it as far as I could and beyond. Sort of the Maud'dib just this side of reason. Whoa! I didn't see that coming!

Ounce a month? Jeez.... a ounce usually lasts me approx. two weeks. About 1/2 an ounce lasts a week.
I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.

Yeah, I was thinking that applied to me as well, but looking back at it with a clearer head I realize that when it lasted about two weeks that is when I was sharing it with others. At one point I had one once for myself and other times I shared and then it would last about a month.

I'm very anti marijuana. When I was 17 I met my first husband in Scotland. He was living in pretty much the same kind of set up as in 'Train Spotting'. He and his friends were big dope addicts and dealers but luckily they hadn't graduated to heroin. (One did and I later learned he died- very tradgic) I got him away from that scene. He went on to suffer psychological problems, initially panic attacks, then depression. I'm sure the dope had a part to play in that. His mates used to look like zombies, and had the life sapped from them. I know many people just use a little bit now and then, but to me that's like saying , I only use a bit of heroin now and again....

Did you see what I did there?
Comparing MJ to Heroin is not unlike compairing beer to heroin. They don't compare. If you did compare these substances alcohol is much closer in detrimental effects to heroin than MJ is.

CoxRox, the people you described are not "addicts" of marijuana. Marijuana isn't any more of an "addiction" than reading is, or exercising. It feels good, so people like to do it. There's no physical reliance going on.
When you say you are "very anti-marijuana", do you mean you personally don't use it, or you think it should be outlawed, and nobody should use it?

It depends what kind of marijuana right? I believe I heard here that it depends how you prepare it or whatever. And the quality, etc.
So perhaps thats the confusion? Bad vs good marijuana? I don't know myself - I've never smoked any.
