I hate cliches to death!

RE: I hate cliches to death!
"Ugly" girl (like an Ohio 10) becomes pretty, and suddenly has value.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Don't diss Lex!

Have you ever seen Hackers with Jolie and Miller? That's some computer bullshit turned up to 11.

With all the creative brilliance of Rodenberry, to create such an imaginative universe, you'd think he'd come up with something better than fucking analogue dials in a ship with warp drive technology, transporters, auto monitoring medical bays, etc
The biggest crack up of course is when the ship is hit by an enemy explosion, the circuits melt up in a spectacular firework display.
Obviously, in Rodenberry's universe, warp drive came before circuit breaker technology!
All was fixed when the long overdue LCARS came online though.
And of course, let's not forget the good looking young crew!
No God, No fear.

Yeah, that started to piss me off when I grew older. It's a pity, some of these things make Star Trek nigh unwatchable for me nowadays. It's a dramatic device to transport the dangers of battle to the crew in the belly of the ship in a cheap fashion, but they should have tried to come up with something more convincing to generate a sense of danger.

How about when people can suddenly make their car go a little bit faster by frowning and looking all intense?

Or when the detectives are racing the clock to hack into a secure database / trace the location of a hacker and they both start tapping frantically at the same keyboard. "Wow- it's lucky that our working relationship is so great that you knew I needed to hit the space bar at that exact moment!"
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Yeah! What's this film where the guy is "hacking", and he says "I'M NOT FAST ENOUGH" and a second guy joins in hammering on the same keyboard in order to win against the firewall?

Lol

But since this is an Atheism forum -

I'm also tired of the straw atheist in films who so often is lacking either in morals, personality, is angry or has got to have some kind of damage, because if it's an atheist it can't possibly be a well-rounded person.
