For one of our cats we made a big deal out of his sneezes. In the first place, since he was a small kitten, and his sneezes had this amazing basso profoundo quality, it was hard to ignore them, and then the cat caught on we were enjoying the performance, and maybe he tried harder?
Anyhow, as a full grown cat, he now has ordinary cat sneezes and we don't act especially startled anymore. He does sneeze quite a bit, speculation is he is more active than cat #2 and stirs up more dust. I know, hard to imagine in my immaculate house . . . Maybe we atheists are soulless automatons because somebody forgot to bless us earlier in our lives and Satan snagged our souls ?? Explains quite a bit, don't it ??
