How, and how NOT to help a suffering atheist...

RE: How, and how NOT to help a suffering atheist...
Hugs Ian. That was pretty mean of your grandma, maybe you could talk to her about that when you start to feel a little better? She probably means well, but I know it must've hurt, what she said.

Same as everybody, I'm a PM away if you need support. Hang in there bud

Your grannies heart was most likely in the right place.  Perhaps her religion, as it tends to do, subverted her better nature.  Tell you something amusing about my grandparents.  If they thought that running people over would make me happy....and I was suicidal......they'd hand me their car keys, in the end.  Not a shining moment of moral exceptionalism, just a comment on how devoted people can be to the continued life and happiness of those they love.  We just want the people we care about to stop suffering, when we see it, we'll throw almost anything at the wall to make that happen.  Your grandmother was grasping, but only because she loves you.

Feeling good, today, btw?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Better than the day I wrote the post. But I have bipolar disorder, so it's not going away anytime soon.

Thank you everybody for your support. I'm very grateful.
If pinkie pie isn't real, then how do you explain the existence of ponies, huh? If ponies are real, then that's proof that Pinkie Pie is real. Checkmate, christians!  Heart
