Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity. Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist. You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

I cant believe that anyone would try and defend the claim that 'The God Delusion' caused someone to commit suicide. Anyone that does needs to check themselves into psychiatric hospital because they need help. I can name three books that can drive people insane and to suicide: The Bible, The Quran and the Torah!
Well, it's a mystery how the entire human psyche works...but if you believe in something so strongly, you psyche yourself into thinking it is real even if it isn't. Personally, I think it is crazy...however, the father needed someone or something to blame...and Christians always try to avoid blaming god, I think. Correct me if I'm wrong though..

Well I think blaming God wouldn't be very Christian of them now would it?
If they did that they'd have to repent otherwise otherwise they might just go into a depression of 'losing faith' OH DEAR(!) Not that it would be a good reason to stop believing of course, whether God is evil or not or you hate him or not has absolutely fuck-all to do with the probability of his existence. EvF
